Experience Newcomb

The Town of Newcomb, NY worked with zCivic to create Experience Newcomb, a tourism-focused app to support visitors to their community. Known as the "Heart of the Park", Newcomb is a small, progressive and business-friendly community at the geographic center of the Adirondack Park of New York State. As such, it sees many visitors so creating a mobile guide to assist with pre-trip planning and on-the-ground support for visitors while in Newcomb was an important goal of the town.

The Experience Newcomb app provides comprehensive information about things to do, and where to shop, eat, stay and play. The app includes directories of local businesses and organizations, interactive GPS mapping, a full events list and information about the town's unique adventure patch program. App users can find detailed information about how to earn each patch and a form for users to "Check-in" to start earning patches.
